Job Overview

Hearn Industrial Services is looking for a responsible Project Engineer to support in organizing and launching a variety of projects. Both in Canada and USA.

Project Engineer responsibilities include working closely with our Project Manager to prepare and maintain comprehensive action plans. You will perform various coordinating tasks, such as scheduling meetings and managing project deliverables, along with administrative duties, like ensuring project documentation is up to date and readily available in our document control system. To succeed in this role, you should have excellent time management and communication skills, as you will collaborate with customers and internal teams across multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities and Duties

· Support in developing and managing project schedules/ timelines

· Contact suppliers/ contractors and issue purchase orders

· Coordinate internal and customer meetings

· Ensure project due dates are met and keep management team accountable

· Maintain program management documents (document control)

· Act as a point of contact and communicate project status to all team members

· Create and maintain 2D CAD drawings of existing and new facilities

· Provide square footage analysis for potential new programs/ facilities

· Support in implementation of new sites

· Create and implement standard operating procedures

· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

· Exceptional communication, time management, and organizational skills

· Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Project, and Power Point

· 2D CAD

· Ability to work as a team and independently with minimal direction

· Ability to take initiative, suggest improvements, and do things without being told

· Strong problem-solving skills

· Strong sense of unit systems and measurements (able to visualize dimensions)
