  • Candidates must be prepared to train and work on the line when not needed to drive forklift. The potential of being on the truck is often high.

 

Wage & Shifts                                                  

  • Wage to be determined
  • Crew A: Monday to Thursday – 6:00am to 4:30pm
  • Crew B: Tuesday to Friday – 6:00pm to 4:30am
  • Crew C: Friday & Saturday – 6:00am to 4:30pm –AND- Sunday & Monday – 6:00pm to 4:30am

 

Required skills, knowledge and abilities

  • Valid forklift certification
  • 5 years working experience driving a forklift in a busy warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (will ask for proof)
  • Previous experience working in shipping / receiving is preferred
  • Ability to work 10.5-hour shifts
  • Proficient at speaking, writing, reading and comprehending English

Summary of essential job functions

  • Operate forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise.
  • Supporting the production line to ensure the labourers do not run out of automotive parts.
  • Accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle, which includes pre-and post shift inspection of vehicle and reporting of any maintenance requirements or issues with the equipment.
  • Receive and unload inbound shipments, safely move product to storage locations.
  • Efficiently stack and store products in appropriate areas.
  • Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Report quality variances.
  • Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped.
  • Perform picking duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards.
  • Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
  • Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
  • Work with team members to ensure appropriate records and reports are completed to guarantee tight inventory control and security. Assist in physical inventories when required.
