We are looking to hire a technically strong and highly organized professional to support our warehouse operations in a hybrid technical/project coordination role. This position requires hands-on experience working with SQL databases, including querying, troubleshooting, and supporting production data needs.
The technician will be heavily involved in coordinating projects, writing detailed operational and technical documentation, and providing real-time support to production teams. There will also be travel required within Canada and the U.S., depending on project needs.
The ideal candidate will also have experience leveraging AI tools to develop production reports and dashboards, with a strong preference for candidates familiar with Microsoft Power BI. Prior experience in a 3PL environment or warehouse operations is highly preferred, as this role sits at the intersection of systems, operations, and continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, operations-driven environment.
They will be passionate about technology support requiring problem-solving skills and excellent customer service capabilities.
Salary & Shift
- $65,000.00 per year
- Monday to Friday; 6:00am to 2:30pm
- Weekends when required
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux environments
- Experience with VPN setup and management for secure remote access
- Proficiency in troubleshooting software issues using tools like Jira, ServiceNow, BMC Remedy
- Familiarity with computer networking concepts such as LAN/WAN configuration, switches, routers, and firewalls
- Ability to diagnose hardware problems related to desktops, laptops, and peripherals
- Knowledge of software troubleshooting techniques for common enterprise applications like Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent communication skills to effectively assist users at all levels of technical proficiency
- Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to handle help desk inquiries professionally
- Experience supporting help desk operations with tools like ServiceNow or BMC Remedy is preferred
- Proficient at speaking, writing, reading and comprehending English
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues across multiple operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux
- Troubleshoot and resolve software problems related to Microsoft Office, operating systems, and other enterprise applications
- Assist users with desktop support tasks such as setting up devices, configuring peripherals, and resolving connectivity issues
- Manage and resolve incidents using ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy, and other ticketing systems
- Configure and maintain network components including LANs, firewalls, VPNs, and switches to ensure secure connectivity
- Support computer networking tasks such as troubleshooting LAN/WAN issues and maintaining network security protocols
- Perform hardware diagnostics and repairs on computers and peripheral devices
- Assist in maintaining system security through firewall management and other security best practices
- Document support procedures and resolutions clearly for future reference
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve IT processes and user experience
- Other duties as assigned
