CERTIFIED FORKLIFT DRIVER – Windsor, ON

Full Time

Applications are always welcome for Forklift Drivers who have work experience and have a valid certification. This role is not limited to just operating a forklift. You may be directed to do other jobs as assigned like on the production line or general labour.

Wage & Shifts:

  • $21.00/hr.
  • Monday to Friday
  • Must be open to days and afternoons
  • Mandatory Saturdays when needed

 

Required skills, knowledge and abilities;

  • 3 years of working experience driving a forklift in a busy warehouse or manufacturing environment
  • Valid Forklift certification – will require proof
  • Must be able to overhead reach, bend, crouch, push, pull, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Able to work shift work and mandatory weekends when required
  • Proficient at writing, speaking, reading and comprehending English

 

Responsibilities;

  • Operate forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise
  • Accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle, which includes pre and post shift inspection of vehicle and reporting of any maintenance requirements or issues with the equipment
  • Receive and unload inbound shipments, safely move product to storage locations
  • Efficiently stack and store products in appropriate areas
  • Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Report quality variances
  • Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped
  • Perform picking duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards.
  • Efficiently move product to storage and/or to the production line
  • Load, unload, move, stack, and stage product and materials using a forklift, clamp truck, or other power equipment
  • Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods
  • Work with team members to ensure appropriate records and reports are completed to guarantee tight inventory control and security. Assist in physical inventories when required
  • Other duties as assigned
