Reporting directly to the senior management team, Hearn Industrial Services in Romulus, MI is currently looking for a C Crew Production Supervisor for our Operations – logistics, automotive sequencing and sub assembly, quality containment and supply chain service activities – within the facility and at client locations as required.
We are looking for an experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee and coordinate sequencing and shipping/receiving activities. You will implement production, productivity, quality and customer service standards and achieve the appropriate level of volume within time limits. The goal is to ensure that daily operations meet and exceed daily performance expectations and to increase the company’s overall market share.
Wage & Shifts:
- $26.00 to $30.00 per hour depending on experience
- Friday to Monday;
- Friday and Saturday: 6:00am to 4:30pm
- Sunday and Monday: 6:00pm to 4:30am
Requirements:
- 3 years working in automotive with a Just in Time environment
- 3 years of proven operations or warehouse supervisory experience
- Excellent written and oral communication in English
- Efficient and proficient in time management
- Ability to multitask and prioritize is a must
- Computer skills; Microsoft Office Suite
- Ford CMMS experience an asset
- Knowledge of ISO Quality Standards
- Hands-on commitment to getting the job done
Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily pre-shift communication
- Oversee sequencing and shipping/receiving operations
- Support investigation and actions of customer concerns
- Communications with customers through mediums like email or phone
- Responsible for on-the-job training of employees
- Ensure employees are following the prescribed process, work instructions, safety rules and policies
- Conduct disciplinary corrective actions as needed
- Ensure employees are wearing proper PPE
- Ensure employees are informed with the updated work hazards
- Conduct monthly safety talks with all employees
- Completion of incident reports for any accidents or incidents
- Ensure forklift drivers are certified and completing pre-inspections of their equipment
- Collection and submission of production reports
- Support the collection and analysis of facility metrics
- Other duties can be assigned as necessary by the Operations Manager or designee
