With over 50 years’ experience as an industry leader specializing in comprehensive valued added and supply chain processes, the Hearn Industrial team is proud to be growing in our KTY Louisville facility. We specialize in transportation, warehousing, quality containment & inspection services, and assembly sequencing operations to support the automotive and other industries. We are currently accepting resumes for the following role:

Shipping / Receiving Clerk

Summary of essential job functions

· Effectively uses organization systems and warehouse technology to locate and gather stock

· Accurately updates spreadsheets and stock information

· Creates shipping labels and handles shipping information

· Communicates with other stockroom personnel about organization practices and picker technology

· Problem solves for customers and suppliers about shipping routes, delayed items, and rush orders

· Performs administrative duties like answering phones, updating records, and providing excellent customer service

· Liaises with warehouse overseers and managers about product ordering and storage

· Maintains good customer relationships and answers any customer questions

· Keeps organized shipping records, including statements of origin, shipping costs, products shipped, and receipt dates

· Troubleshoots shipping issues and customer issues that pop up regularly; works to solve these administrative or organizational problems to increase warehouse and dispatch efficiency

· Develops knowledge about freight and sea shipping regulations and practices

· Works well with shipping team to complete orders on time

Required skills, knowledge and abilities

· Minimum 2 years’ experience in a shipping receiving office

· Strong computer skills

· Exceptional customer service and problem resolution abilities

· WMS (Warehouse Management Skills)

· Inventory Knowledge and Experience

· Participate in, support and comply with all health, safety and quality initiatives;

· Able to respond quickly to customer demands

· Understanding of automotive industry, customers, products and terminology an asset.

Educational Requirements

· Must be able to read and write English fluently

· High school diploma or equivalent

Shift is Days 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday – Friday

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: From $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Experience:

  • Computer skills: 5 years (Preferred)
  • Automotive Knowledge: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Warehouse management system: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Inventory control: 3 years (Preferred)
